Our practice is dedicated to providing the best comprehensive medical care for children from newborns to 21 years. To offer the highest level of care, the visits to the office are by appointment only - we do not take walk-ins. We strive to see patients at their scheduled appointment times however, sometimes emergencies and unpredictable circumstances during another patient’s visit might delay your appointment. We have a 15-minute grace period if you are running behind, but if you are later than this and have not called and made arrangements, we cannot guarantee that you will be seen and you may have to be rescheduled.
7 Days Pediatrics will attempt to contact patients by phone and by email to confirm scheduled appointments. ***Please remember that confirmation calls are a courtesy. It is the Parent/Patient’s responsibility to keep up with your scheduled appointment date and time, and to notify the office in advance when there is a need to cancel or reschedule. ***
It is extremely important that you bring all of your child’s health and insurance information to the visit to prevent any inconvenience and delay in administering care to your child.
Don’t forget to contact our office to verify we participate with your insurance plan as participation may have changed. If you are required to have a primary care physician by your insurance plan, Dr. Nimisha Shukla must be listed as the primary care physician on your card to cover the visit or we will not be able to see your child in the office. It is your responsibility to have the proper insurance information to be seen.
If you have recently moved into the area or are looking for a new pediatrician, please call the office and schedule an appointment for a visit. Prior to the visit, please contact your previous pediatrician and ask for your child’s records to be transferred to 7 Days Pediatrics. The Release of Records form that needs to be given to the previous pediatrician is available on this site for your convenience.

Insurance & Account Info
Please notify the office as soon as possible of all account changes, including co-pay amounts, insurance updates, and a change of mailing address. If the account holder does not notify the office of these changes promptly, the assigned account holder becomes responsible for all charges.
Please contact your insurance as soon as possible after the birth of your child. Most health plans allow 30 days to add your newborn, otherwise you may have to wait until an open enrollment period to add the child. If, after 30 days, we are unable to verify the child has been added to the policy, the balance will become guarantor responsibility.
Our practice participates with many major insurance plans. Billing insurance does not guarantee payment and it is your responsibility to confirm that we participate with your plan. We will submit claims as per our agreement with your insurance company.
If your insurance includes a co-payment for a visit, payment is expected at the time of the visit. You are also responsible for any outstanding balance, deductible or coinsurance at the time of the visit. It is your responsibility to know the benefits your plan provides.
If you have an HMO plan, please assign Dr. Nimisha Shukla as your child’s primary care physician (PCP) PRIOR to your visit. If we cannot confirm that Dr. Nimisha Shukla is listed as the PCP, we will ask that the appointment be rescheduled.
If you are enrolled in a managed care insurance plan (i.e., HMO), your plan may require a referral from your PCP before seeing a specialist. NO retroactive referrals will be given.
If we DO NOT participate with your insurance or you DO NOT have proof of insurance at the time of check-in, you will be considered out of network and therefore become a self-pay patient. Full payment is expected at the time of service.
We have a 15-minute grace period if you are running behind, but if you are later than this and have not called and made arrangements, we cannot guarantee that you will be seen and you may have to be rescheduled.
